General Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions  apply to the organisation of events by Templo Luz da Vida (hereinafter referred to as the organiser) and are independent of the venue.

Conclusion of contract

With a booking, the general terms and conditions of Templo Luz da Vida (hereinafter organiser) are accepted. By registering for an event of Templo Luz da Vida, the participant enters into a binding contract. Registration takes place by e-mail or via the registration button on the organiser's website. A confirmation of registration will be sent by e-mail. With the registration a deposit of 30% of the course fee has to be paid. Only after receipt of this deposit will the place be reserved for the participant.
Should there be an overlap between the written registrations and the maximum number of participants, the course places will be allocated in the order of receipt of payment. The same applies to the allocation of rooms. Should there be an overlap in room allocation, we will inform you.

Payment of the participation fee

A deposit of 30% of the total fee is due immediately upon registration.
With the confirmation of registration the participant will receive an invoice with all payment details. The remaining amount is to be paid at the latest 3 weeks before the start of the event.

Cancellation conditions

Cancellation of your participation in an event must be made in writing by email to the following email address:

The 30% deposit will not be refunded if the booking is cancelled by the participant. Please note that in the event of no-shows, late arrivals, early departures, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness, no refunds of deposits or discounts can be given. However, if the course is fully booked and someone moves up from the waiting list to take your place, you will receive a refund of 27% of the deposit. 3% will be retained as an administration fee.

We wish we could compensate participants for unforeseen circumstances, but we incur costs that we cannot refund once payment has been made.

Cancellation by the organiser

If for any reason the organiser has to cancel a scheduled retreat, course or workshop, your payment already made will be refunded in full (100%).
The organiser will notify the participant in writing by email as soon as possible.
The organiser is not responsible for any costs you incur in preparing for a booked event, such as airfare, loss of work and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.
Compensation for expenses incurred and other claims against the organiser cannot be derived from this.

Image and sound recordings

The organiser reserves the right to make image and video recordings during an event for use and publication of such recordings on its own website and in its own social media. The participant hereby declares his/her consent to image and sound recordings being made of him/her. The participant may revoke his/her consent at any time before the image and video recordings are made to the person making the recordings.

We understand that it is our duty to take care that, when accessing our site and when requested, you need to inform only the data necessary to enable you to access the services to which you are interested, whether referring to Events or news.
We will not make your personal information available to third parties without your consent.

The participant stays on the premises rented by the organiser at his/her own risk. The course organiser and the owner of the rented premises accept no liability for personal injury, property damage or financial loss occurring during the course.
Further claims for damages against the course organiser and the owner of the premises are excluded. Participants take part in the ceremonies and practical exercises at their own risk.

Severability clause

Should one or more provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In place of the invalid provision, a provision that comes closest to the meaning of the invalid provision shall come into force.
